On June 9, Zhang Qiang, Secretary of the District Committee and Secretary of the CPC Working Committee for Huairou Science City, held talks with Charles Bonnafous, Founder and CEO of the French Nexson Group. The two sides engaged in in-depth exchanges on leveraging the strategic resources of the Huairou National Science Center, deepening cooperation in high-end equipment manufacturing, and promoting the high-quality development of foreign-funded enterprises.
Exchanges and Discussions Between Both Parties
Mr. Zhang Qiang emphasized that as a global “hidden champion” in the field of heat exchangers, Nexson Group possesses robust technical strength and cutting-edge industrial positioning. Firmly established at the forefront of the global market in its segment, the group is a key international supplier of high-end heat exchange equipment and pressure vessels.
Currently, Huairou is making every effort to implement its 15th Five-Year Plan, leverage the role of the Huairou National Science Center, strengthen basic research and original innovation, and construct a modern industrial system to build a world-class demonstration zone for the integrated development of strategic technologies.
Mr. Zhang expressed his hope that both parties would seize the opportunities of high-level opening up, leverage the driving role of leading foreign enterprises, and strengthen synergy with research institutes, universities, and supply chain companies. The goal is to jointly plan and promote the construction of the Huairou Development Zone, linked with the China (Beijing) Pilot Free Trade Zone. It also aims to:

- Actively advance new industrialization.
- Leverage artificial intelligence to optimize R&D, manufacturing, and operational management, thereby exploring new paths for the industry of the future.
By opening up and strengthening supply chain cooperation, Huairou hopes to attract more upstream and downstream international enterprises and organizations, thereby raising the level of open development in the region. Huairou District will continue to expand its opening up to the outside world, shaping a market-oriented, standardized, convenient, and international business environment to provide all necessary facilities and guarantees for foreign investment, while boosting the vitality and influence of the local economy.
For his part, Mr. Charles Bonnafous stated that thanks to its concentration of innovation resources, excellent industrial ecosystem, and first-rate business environment, Huairou Science City serves as a major strategic hub for the group’s deployment in the Asia-Pacific region and its anchoring in the Chinese market. The company is fully confident in its development in Huairou.
