On November 22 and 23, the legendary Nevers Magny-Cours circuit once again became the scene of sporting exploits as it hosted the seventh edition of the Nevers Marathon by Nexson. Now an unmissable event on the French racing calendar, this event lived up to all expectations.
Local roots and shared values As the main partner, Nexson Group is proud to have supported this celebration of Nevers’ vitality. This collaboration reaffirms our role in promoting the region and its talents. As Charles Bonnafous, President and founder of Nexson Group, points out, “this marathon embodies solidarity, perseverance, and ambition: essential qualities that connect the world of sport to that of our industry.”
From the asphalt of F1 to the banks of the Loire The route offered runners a unique experience. Starting on the legendary asphalt of the Formula 1 circuit, participants crossed picturesque landscapes, running alongside the canal parallel to the Loire and the Château du Sallay, before a grand finish under the arch of the Porte de Paris in Nevers.
The day before the event was an opportunity for us to train our employees from around the world on our current range, as well as our new technologies, new products, and those currently in development. To conclude, we all gathered for dinner at the Casino de Pougues-les-Eaux, which allowed us to debrief on the first day and enjoy some time together.
#TeamNexson in full force: Record turnout! Beyond the official partnership, it was the massive participation of our employees that marked this edition. A veritable tide of Nexson colors swept across the various events, proving that team spirit does not stop at the company’s doors.
In total, there are more than 60 employees who have a8> taken the departure, spread across all distances:
- 🏃♂️ Individual Marathon (42.195 km): Two employees took on the ultimate challenge of the premier distance.
- 🤝 Duo Marathon (21.1 km + 21.1 km): One pair shared the effort to complete the course.
- ⚡ Half Marathon (21.1 km): this was the most popular distance among our teams, with 23 participants at the starting line!
- 🏁 The Lap (4.411 km): In this speed event on the circuit, 16 employees burned rubber.
- The Ekiden (42.195 km): this relay race brought together three teams of six people, for a total of 18 employees relay runners.
Whether it was to break a record or simply for the pleasure of crossing the finish line, everyone gave their best. More than just a race, this event brought families, friends, and colleagues together for a fun time.
