Nexson Group’s Plate & Shell heat exchanger, part of the GREEN P&S range, represents the technological evolution of hybrid thermal systems. This fully welded, gasket-free solution combines the exceptional thermal efficiency of circular plates with the mechanical strength of a cylindrical shell. It is available in three variations: Type O (Openable), Type W (Fully Welded), and Type K (Kettle Reboiler).
Designed for the most demanding operating conditions, the GREEN P&S withstands pressures up to 120 bar and temperatures ranging from -196°C to 500°C. Thanks to its reduced footprint compared to conventional shell & tube exchangers, this equipment is the preferred choice for condensation, evaporation, and waste heat recovery.

GREEN P&S - TYPE O
Nexson GREEN P&S Type O – Plate & Shell Openable provides enhanced flexibility by enabling the plate pack to be withdrawn from the shell for inspection or mechanical cleaning. This is made possible by its flanged and bolted shell design. The plate pack allows for swift removal and refitting, minimizing process downtime.
The welded plate core is filled and fixed in the circular shell, and there are no sealing gaskets between the plates. It can be applied in corrosive, high-temperature, and high-pressure environments.

Nexson GREEN P&S™ Type K is a compact, fully welded plate & shell kettle reboiler designed for high-efficiency evaporation in demanding applications. Operating as a flooded evaporator, it maintains the refrigerant in a submerged state for optimal heat transfer.
Ideal for refrigeration, heat pump, and ORC cycles, it evaporates media like ammonia using a hot stream in counter-current flow. The integrated manifold ensures effective phase separation, while minimizing shell size, wall thickness, and fluid volume — resulting in reduced operational costs.
